Construction Buyer
CONSTRUCTION BUYER WANTED - £30k - PERM ROLE
A client of mine, who are responsible for over 200 residential home builds per year are actively looking for a Construction Materials Buyer. They are owned by a large company with an impressive portfolio of companies, so scope for career development is prominent.
Reporting to the Commercial Director your key responsibilities will be (but not limited to):
- Negotiate and purchase materials with key suppliers within a multi-site environment
- Produce cost analysis and ensure costing forecasts are adhered
- Raise purchasing orders
- Monitor suppliers’ costs
- Procurement lead on construction projects
- Scheduling materials, raising orders, cost analysis to expediting delivery
Qualifications / Experience
You will possess relevant experience and a proven track record preferably within the residential housing sector and be able to show experience and knowledge of tendering and contracting policies to achieve best value.
Skills
The role requires a confident, strong, and experienced Buyer with proven negotiation skills with the ability to be proactive in a fast-paced business environment. A real team player is required.
Attention to detail and communication skills will be vital in dealing with multiple site contractors to provide a first-class supply chain environment.
