Senior Quantity Surveyor

SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR 

MODULAR // CONSTRUCTION 

GREATER MANCHESTER / HYBRID WORKING


National based contractor are looking for a Senior QS to join their busy and thriving Manchester team. You will be reporting to the Commercial Lead and be operating a hybrid role (Site visits, office visits, home working). This company specialises in the delivery of major projects for public sector and private clients.

You will hold joint responsibility with the site team for the safe, profitable, and quality delivery of projects under their control ensuring completion to the highest satisfaction. 

The successful candidate will hold the following attributes;

  • Ensures all work is completed on time and in line with the company's management systems
  • Manages priorities & ensures all activity is carried out safely and in line with procedures. 
  • Knows what the team's and individual objectives are and how they contribute and fit together
  • Reviews own performance against plans to achieve a more efficient and effective service. 
  • Communicates effectively
  • Is resilient and able to respond to work related pressures in a positive way

The role will entail;

  • Health & Safety audits
  • Profit Margin
  • Quality Audits
  • Cash management both collection and payments, including preparation of the respective Cost, Value and Reconciliation (CVR) reporting
  • Effectively manage the project procurement schedule 
  • Developing junior members of staff
  • Provide commercial support

Qualifications or experience required

  • 3 years experience in a similar role or demonstration of achievement of key duties and responsibilities
  • RICS desirable
  • Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
  • NVQ Level 5 or above (or working towards)
  • CSCS Card
  • UKATA Asbestos Management for Surveyors
  • Safe Management for Scaffold (SMSO) for surveyors. 
  • Temporary works 
  • RAMS
