BIM COORDINATOR

OFFICE FIT OUT & DESIGN

£45K - £50K

 

My client, a UK leader in Office Design & Fit Out is looking to expand their team. This role will enable BIM practices at project level and further the implementation of BIM across the company. An ambitious BIM coordinator who already has several years of relevant industry experience, preferably in interior design and fit out, and is looking for an opportunity to help develop the maturity of the company's BIM systems.
 

ABOUT THE ROLE
Key Responsibilities:

• Model management, coordination, administration and maintenance
• Sourcing, creating, and maintaining model content, BIM libraries and BIM templates
• Ensuring the accuracy of models, datasets, and plans
• Assisting the project team with modelling, drawings, and schedules
• Managing multiple information sources, incorporating them into a single model which can be used for
design and estimating
• Developing and maintaining BIM protocols and BIM Execution Plans and other documentation
• Responsible for organisation wide BIM standards
• Preparing BIM co-ordination programmes and progress reports.
• Adhering to the latest industry standards
• Co-ordinating BIM process stakeholders
• Assisting the handover of information at project milestones to internal and external project
stakeholders
• Managing the process and handover of BIM content to external parties
• Supply chain BIM assessments
• Communicate effectively and offer cross-team support.
• Providing training and assistance to the project team and explaining procedures and standards.
• Training the team in specific software programmes
• Ensuring the project teams are up to date with the latest updates on BIM software
• Arranging CPD’s and internal training sessions across departments
• Raising the profile of BIM across departments and teams
• Champion the implementation and adoption of BIM
• Keep the organisation informed about best practices in BIM and BIM software.
• Keeping up-to-date with advancements in BIM technology, research new BIM related software and
plugins
• Drive efficiency within the company’s BIM processes
• Provide regular updates for managers, to identify improvement opportunities and measure
implementation
• Assist in the hiring of new talented Revit technician when the need arises
