Senior Interior Designer

SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER

OFFICE DESIGN & FIT OUT

£36,000 - £46,000 (DOE)


My client are on the lookout for a creative Senior Interior Designer with at least 5 year's experience running commercial workplace design projects. The successful candidate will be expected to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, manage their own time as well as the time of more junior design members to ensure the effective and successful outcome of projects. This is a studio based role, and a senior designer you would be expected to spend time in the studio to provide support to less experienced designers, lead the creative process and attend and run face to face client meetings and pitches when the need arises.
 

ABOUT THE ROLE
Key Responsibilities include:

• Extract, interrogate and challenge client brief.
• Work with Project Lead to map out design and pitch presentation combined with compelling storytelling.
• Enthusiastically, confidently and passionately communicate and present design concepts and captivate the audience.
• Lead and manage the design process for multiple large and complex projects.
• Design innovatively, to a high standard and within budget constraints.
• Represent the company independently.
• Manage workload effectively and efficiently.
• Ensure that all building surveys undertaken, are thorough and accurate.
• Produce detailed construction drawing packages that accurately reflect the agreed scope of works.
• Attend internal resource, workshops and handover meetings.
• Have a broad overview and understanding of building regulations. Successfully implement this into design concepts and builds. Guide and teach less experienced designers to understand building regulations.
• Specify products and finishes that are appropriate to the design concept and within budget.
• Effectively and persuasively present commercial benefits of design and choices to clients.
• Inspire, mentor and guide design team.
• Share knowledge, experience, and advice with less experienced design team members.
• Organise appropriate CPDs and product seminars.
• Actively participate in development of the business.
• Put forward any team training needs to Creative lead.
• Represent and promote the company culture and brand.
• Guide, mentor and influence the creative output of your team and take responsibility for the design
and content they produce that will representing the company.

Qualifications and Training required:
• Interior Design or Interior Architecture Degree
• Revit
• SketchUp + Enscape beneficial
• Abode Suite
• Microsoft Suite
