Senior Quantity Surveyor (M&E)

QUANTITY SURVEYOR

ROAMING (1 day office based - Northampton)

£60-70K + PACKAGE

 

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

You will be working for an established Mechanical & Electrical services contractor that takes pride in its expertise within the industry. This company retain repeat business from some of the countries most prestige clients in the Health, Leisure, Retail, Defence & Education sectors. ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Working from the office on 1 day per week, whilst travelling to various sites on the remaining 4 days per week
  • Advising on costs involved in building projects, preparing detailed breakdowns
  • Compiling sub-contract orders & their subsequent issuing to contractors
  • Advising on contract arrangements and conditions under which the building will be constructed
  • Advising on implications of different construction methods, materials etc.
  • Undertaking pre and post contract work
  • Preparing bills of quantities & cost value comparison (profit & loss) notes.
  • Pricing Variation accounts and sub-contract accounts.
  • Life cycle and whole life cost analysis

ABOUT YOU:

To be suited for this role you must have the following:

  • Degree, BTEC or HND/HNC (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Construction. (Preferred)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • An ability to lead the commercial aspects of multiple projects or large-scale projects
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage a high workload and meet submission deadlines.
  • Good technical writing, strong client-facing and communication skills.
  • The ability to be well organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, self-starting, well-disciplined, and commercially astute.

IN RETURN:

In return, you will receive a base salary of £60-70K DOE plus car allowance, fuel card & permanent package.
