SUPERINTENDENT - Fort Lauderdale, FL

My client are an award winning full service GC based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. They are currently looking for an experienced Superintendent to join their established business. They typically complete Commercial & Industrial projects, ranging from small works right up to $350m projects and beyond. They are looking for someone who is loyal, hardworking and has experience working on Commercial & Industrial projects. The rewards to be reaped with this business are plentiful!

Job summary

You will be reporting directly to the VP of Field operations, responsible for all construction operations, including supervision of foreman, trade personnel and subcontractors. You will be planning, coordinating and executing projects on time, within budget while adhering to a safe workplace.

Requirements

• Must have college degree or equivalent and 5-10+ years in construction.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand specifications.
• Be a confident and efficient communicator.
• Completion of OSHA ten hour safety course.
• First aid & CPR certified
• Computer software competence including viewpoint, primavera, excel and word.
• Must have substantial experience working on vertical construction within Commercial, Office, Education or Industrial projects with a General Contractor.
