Operations Manager (Facilities Management)

About:

Rogers McHugh are pleased to be working with a well-respected construction company based in Manchester who are looking for FM operation manager on temporary basis for maternity cover, lasting at least 12 months.

They have recently started to deliver Facilities Management services and they are looking.

for an operations Manager with exceptional customer service and organisational skills

to join their lovely team, working together with the rest of the Facilities Team to achieve

ambitious goals.

The ideal candidate will have experience of a Regional Operations role within the facilities sector. The success of a branch depends on the person's ability to run it as if it were their own business. The person is also expected to have excellent written skills and will be involved in responding to tender opportunities.

 

As an Operations Manager within their FM division, you will:

 

● Oversee the operational delivery of our facilities management contracts, which are predominantly hard FM focussed but will include an element of soft service management.

● Working effectively with a central helpdesk team to ensure work is running in line with the programme, that KPI’s are met and that we are taking measures.

to improve service delivery in line with the KPI’s.

● Oversee the compilation of performance reports and take steps to ensure that poor performance is not repeated and that we are incrementally improving.

● Oversee quotation works to bring new buildings online and ensure all service lines are captured.

● Provide advice and guidance to clients on facilities issues

● Lead the development of our FM systems and processes. This includes contributing to setting up our standard operating processes, H&S process development, working on establishing a robust FM supply chain, and developing our processes to streamline quoting and tendering.

● Have a good understanding of health and safety legislation and other. regulations relating to facilities maintenance. You’ll also ideally be comfortable with SFG-20.

● Build great relationships with all colleagues and customers

 

Candidate:

 

● Someone with managerial experience in FM, who has a strong grasp of FM engineering services, particularly in relation to mobile engineering teams.

● You might be a senior FM in post who is looking for a first role in operations management

● Qualified to IWFM Level 5 or equivalent (desirable)

● Someone who is highly organised, has meticulous attention to detail and is passionate about quality

● Someone who is comfortable with a range of CAFM systems and has experience of leading teams through change programmes.

● A confident communicator who likes to work collaboratively & is comfortable building relationships with a range of stakeholders

● Someone is comfortable with a range of IT applications, producing high quality, professional documentation

● Someone who is good at problem solving and taking the initiative to resolve issues quickly.

 

Salary:

 

Basic salary + Company van or allowance + 25 days annual leave + Birthday leave

Sick leave (based on length of service) + Company pension + Life Assurance

+ Company Bonus

18 month maternity cover
