Senior Contracts Manager/Project Director

About:

My client is a leading main contractor based in the North West. Due to a strong pipeline of newly awarded projects, they are currently looking to strengthen their Operational team with the addition of a Senior contracts manager/Project Director.

The company has an excellent reputation in the industry through successfully delivering quality fit out, refurbishment and new build schemes across commercial & industrial sectors. They are looking for a Senior Contracts Manager/Project Director to join their North West office.

The role:

Responsibility for the management, planning, programming & phasing of the project.

Work closely and liaise as required with the design team.

To monitor the progress of the project and manage issues as they arise.

Responsible for all health and safety on site and liaison with the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Manager

Conduct regular site meetings.

Ensure all documentation is correctly administered and Company Procedures are followed.

Making strategic decisions and providing leadership and direction to project managers to implement those decisions.

Meeting with clients, stakeholders, contracts managers & site managers to report on project progress.

Liaising with clients and building strong working relationships

Devising cost-effective plans to enable effective project completion.

Managing risks to avoid delays or reputational damage.

Ensuring permits and legal papers are secured ahead of the project.

Managing project managers and enabling them to supervise and manage their own teams.

Ideally you can bring new clients to the business.

Skills:

Leadership and business management skills

Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware, and software

Persistence and determination

Knowledge of pricing, tendering etc…

Able to use your initiative.

Be thorough and pay attention to detail.

Excellent verbal communication skills

Salary:

Basic salary + company car or car allowance + £Performance bonus + Healthcare + Pension + Work from home etc..
