About the client

You will be working for an established SME contractor based in Preston. You will be working as an Estimator, producing tenders for a range of new build & refurbishment projects including: retail, residential, heritage and commercial.

 

About the role

You will be working as an Estimator, day-to-day tasks will include:

• Analysing project plans, blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Review and evaluate cost estimates, identifying cost-saving opportunities where possible.
• Work closely with sales and design teams to understand project scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with project management team to ensure projects are completed within budget.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all estimates.

 

About you

In order to succeed in this role, you will need:

• 3+ years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of office fit out projects and associated costs.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
