Assistant Project manager/Project Manager

ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

You will be working for a consultancy that specialises in construction based in Stockport working nationally.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Establish detailed client’s brief and responsibilities of consultant’s team. 
  • Establish lines of communication and reporting procedures with the client and within the design team
  • Arrange feasibility studies, including site surveys, site investigation, site evaluation etc
  • Undertake contact administration, JCT, NEC
  • Development of project documentation, programmes, risk register etc.
  • Produce Client reports to suit relevant stages of the project.
  • Monitor and report on the contractor’s progress against the contract programme.
  • Management of consultant teams to ensure that the contractor’s design is aligned with the contract and specification.
  • Liaise with the client on deviations from specification, budget etc.
  • Arrange and chair pre-start meeting.
  • Ensure that all CDM regulations have been considered throughout the project.
  • Provide single point of contact taking responsibility for all aspects of the project and liaise with the client. 
  • Chair progress, co-ordination and project meetings throughout the contract period.
  • Prepare regular reports to clients on all aspects of the project.
  • Arrange and manage end of defects meeting in line with the provisions of the contract.
  • Consultancy construction project management experience
  • High quality written communications (reports, instructions etc)
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project
  • Client management
  • Experience of preparation of tender submissions.

About You:

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Project Management position within construction environment.

BSc Hons or equivalent in Project Management or related course.

Working towards professional chartership RICS, CIOB welcome but not essential.
