Title: Senior Estimator

Project Locations: Northwest

Office Location: Burnley

Salary: £50k - £70k (experience depending)

Start: ASAP

Shift Pattern/Hours: Mon – Fri, 8am – 5pm

 

My client is a Drylining, Partitioning & Plastering Subcontractor that operate through the northwest, especially on central Manchester projects. They’re a longstanding family run company that are well known in the industry for their quality & consistency.

 

They specialise in sectors such as High rise Apartments, Student Accommodation, Education & Healthcare.

 

Overview:

They are currently looking for an experienced Estimator 5+ years’ experience working for a Drylining Sub-Contractor. Ideally you will have experience in cost planning, pricing, and preparing procurement packs for tender. You will also be able to challenge the pre-construction team when necessary and liaise effectively with the Quantity Surveyors. In the medium to long term this role offers an opportunity for growth, with the potential to oversee a Junior Estimator in the future.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Cost Planning and Pricing: Prepare accurate cost plans and pricing for projects & Packages, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
  • Procurement Preparation: Take ownership of procurement packs, getting them ready for tender.
  • Team Collaboration: Challenge the pre-construction and design teams to ensure the best outcomes for the project.
  • Liaison with Quantity Surveyors: Understand and communicate effectively with QSs to ensure accurate and comprehensive project costing.
  • Site Visits: Conduct site visits as required to gather information and ensure project requirements are met.

 

Must Have:

  • Proven Experience as an Estimator in the Drylining Industry.
  • Structured Career History
  • Ability to travel when needed to sites across the Northwest
  • Ability to reach & work from the Burnley Office.
