Site Manager - Ashford

Job Title: Site Manager – Fast Track Shop Fit Out (Ashford)
Duration: 3 Weeks (Fast Track Project)
Rate: £260 – £280 per shift (DOE)
Start Date: 15th September 2025

Our Client:
Our client is a well-established interior fit out contractor, delivering high-quality retail and commercial projects across the UK. They are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee a fast-track shop fit in Ashford.

The Role:
This is a small-scale but high-intensity project requiring a hands-on Site Manager who is equally comfortable leading subcontractors, managing programme and quality, and rolling up their sleeves to keep the site running smoothly. You won’t be sat behind a desk all day — this is a boots-on-the-ground role that demands presence, drive, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day site operations to deliver the project on time and to specification

  • Coordinate and motivate subcontractors to maintain pace and quality

  • Monitor health & safety compliance at all times

  • Maintain clear and consistent site records and reporting

  • Carry out hands-on tasks as needed, including maintaining a clean and safe working environment

  • Resolve site issues quickly and effectively

  • Liaise with the client and project team to ensure smooth delivery

Essential Requirements:

  • Valid CSCS Card (Black or Gold)

  • SMSTS qualification

  • First Aid at Work certification

  • Asbestos Awareness certification

  • Fire Marshal training

  • Previous experience in retail or shop fit out projects (fast-track delivery preferred)

  • Strong organisational and leadership skills

  • Willingness to take a hands-on approach where required

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Rate: £260 – £280 per shift (depending on experience)
