Contracts Manager

About you

If you are an experienced Project Manager who enjoys having responsibility for several projects at once, keeping everything moving and making sure jobs are delivered properly, this could be a really good opportunity for you.

You will be joining an established construction business delivering refurbishment and fit out projects, predominantly across the North West and Yorkshire, with individual project values up to around £1.5 million.

You will need to be comfortable managing multiple projects concurrently, working closely with site teams, subcontractors and clients to make sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.

Ideally, you will have experience working on industrial refurbishments or commercial fit out projects, although this isn't essential. What matters more is that you understand how to manage several construction projects at different stages and can demonstrate a strong track record of delivering work safely, on time and within budget.

The salary is £45,000 to £55,000 per annum, plus car allowance and an annual bonus.

Your experience

You will already have experience working as a Project Manager within the construction industry, ideally with a main contractor or refurbishment and fit out specialist.

You should be comfortable managing several live projects at the same time, understanding what is happening on each job and knowing where your attention is needed.

Your experience should include:

  • Managing multiple construction projects concurrently, ideally with values up to around £1.5 million.

  • Planning and coordinating projects from initial handover through to practical completion.

  • Managing site teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered to the required standards.

  • Monitoring programmes, identifying potential delays and putting solutions in place.

  • Working closely with commercial teams to understand project costs, variations and financial performance.

  • Building good relationships with clients and keeping them informed throughout the project.

  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety across your projects.

Experience within industrial refurbishment, commercial fit out or similar construction environments would be particularly useful.
