Quantity Surveyor – Main Contractor
Location: Leeds (Nationwide Travel – 1 day per week)
Package: Up to £55,000 DOE + Car/Car Allowance + Fuel Card + Benefits
Are you a Quantity Surveyor with new build experience across multiple sectors? Do you want to work for a growing main contractor specialising in shell and core projects retail & hospitality as well as residential, industrial, and commercial projects?
Our client, a leading main contractor based in Leeds, is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The role involves managing costs, contracts, and procurement across a variety of new build projects.
The Role:
- Managing cost control and procurement on new build projects across various sectors
- Handling shell and core retail & hospitality schemes alongside residential, industrial, and commercial projects
- Site visits once a week nationwide (with the flexibility to return home the same day or stay overnight for one night max)
- Preparing tender documents, contracts, budgets, and reports
- Overseeing sub-contractor payments and valuations
- Working closely with clients, project teams, and suppliers
Requirements:
- Strong Quantity Surveying experience within new build construction
- Multi-sector background covering drive-thru, residential, industrial, and commercial projects
- Comfortable with nationwide travel (1 day per week max)
- Strong contract administration and cost control skills
- Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying (preferred)
- Someone with general construction experience would be perfect for this opportunity and company.
