Job Title: Site Joiner
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CIS Site Joiner to join our shop fitting team for projects nationwide. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional carpentry and joinery skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. This role involves working on-site nationwide to install and fit various fixtures, fittings, and custom joinery elements in retail and commercial spaces. Rate is competitive.
Key Responsibilities:
        1.      Installation and Fitting:
        •       Install and fit a range of joinery components including cabinets, counters, shelving, doors, and panels.
        •       Work with various materials such as wood, laminates, and veneers to create high-quality finishes.
        •       Ensure all installations are completed accurately according to design specifications and client requirements.
        2.      Blueprint and Specification Interpretation:
        •       Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
        •       Take precise measurements and plan cutting and assembly operations accordingly.
        •       Ensure all work aligns with project plans and industry standards.
        3.      Quality Assurance:
        •       Conduct quality checks to ensure all work meets the highest standards.
        •       Identify and correct any defects or imperfections in joinery work.
        •       Maintain a high level of craftsmanship throughout all stages of the project.
        4.      Site Coordination:
        •       Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors on-site to ensure smooth workflow and project integration.
        •       Communicate effectively with the Site Manager and other team members regarding progress and any issues.
        •       Assist in the planning and organization of materials and tools required for each project.
        5.      Health and Safety:
        •       Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines on-site.
        •       Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and ensure safe working practices.
        •       Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents and hazards.
Qualifications:
        •       Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry or joinery.
        •       Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a joiner, preferably with experience in shop fitting or commercial joinery in hospitality and food and beverage sectors.
        •       Certifications: Relevant certifications in joinery, carpentry, or health and safety are advantageous. CSCS skilled card
Skills and Competencies:
        •       Proficient in the use of hand and power tools related to joinery.
        •       Strong understanding of joinery techniques, materials, and best practices.
        •       Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
        •       Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
        •       Strong communication and teamwork skills.
        •       Flexibility to travel nationwide and work extended hours as required.
Physical Requirements:
        •       Ability to perform manual labour, including lifting, carrying, and working in various conditions.
        •       Capability to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed.
